Speaking of covering, there are a couple of things I do maybe a little different. And this goes back to rule of thumb regarding the absorption rate of covering. Lighter colors will withstand a little more direct and concentrated heat than darker colors. I didn't happen across this tip/trick by...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Don't believe everything you are told. I have an SD 260 40% that will knife edge either wing up with no coupling. My big Hangar 9 Sukhoi is the same way. My big Yak that decided to fall out of the sky a few days ago was very very close to that. Just a tick of aileron whichever wing was up and it...

Thanks Tanner. A quick email to Tony confirmed 0 down, 2 degrees right. I set my Purple Crown Royal up with those angles and it was spot on perfect.

Oh you have no idea! Mash the gas and it wants to drill for oil in Mother Earth. Let off the throttle, and it wants to find the moon. LOL. Not to mention in an up line it will want to do knife edge loops all by itself. Not good! That is my feelings exactly. I had a real hard time acclimating...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Other than a little organizing and straightening, nothing worked on today. Oh but just wait, I have plenty of irons in the fire. Will be starting the firewall thrust angle re-set on the new Pilot Edge tomorrow. And dang it...I still need to get that new cowl mounted on the Cessna so I can take...

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

I had to do a little arranging in my rapidly diminishing space in my house. I don't suppose the space, (or the lack there of) has anything to do with too many less than small aircraft? Naaa....LOL. I opened up the new Yak tonight to take a little looksey inside. Ah, I do love a brand new plane...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

Hey Doug, been doing some catch up on some of the threads. Your Extra is actually coming along "QUITE" nicely. I really like what you are doing with all the "fixes". Especially the cowl. I really need to have you teach me out to do this. I would really like to split the cowl on the new Behemoth...

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

Dang that thing is just "PRETTY"! It is really nice to be in the company of such awesome builders. A built with your own two hands is very cool. When they come out looking like this one, it is very-very cool. I am so excited to see the photos and videos of it in the air.

Sport The Behemoth Yak gets a Behemoth Brother/129" Pilot Yak (2)

Damn you. There ya go tempting me even more. Lol I have to say, I really like the way a big Yak flies. They are great for floating in on slooooow harriers, they do awesome slow rolls and rolling harriers, they are stable and accurate. Yet very agile with the correct ponies up front. They look...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Except that round smashed former that supports nothing and is no structural support and is of no use...is actually a support for the lip of your cowl to ride on, correct? The hatch butts up against it and the rounded portion adds support to your cowl lip. At least that's the way the big Yak and...

Yeop...same size. Thank you. It sure caught my eye when I seen it up close. Especially those pants. Ya know? Terry and a few others have been dipping props, spinners and such. Why not go all out and do pants too? That would totally rock wouldn't it?

Long trip, lots of miles and I am beat. But!!!!!!! Before I take me an "old man" nappy nappy, How about a couple of teasers of a Behemoth addition to the Behemoth controlling hanger of Behemoth Yaks? I think I am just about due for a Behemoth House. Now are these the most bad ass wheel...

Dang! Tanner, that sucks a bit one. It just wasn't running at it's peak was it? You could tell when you fired it up and started running it up. It's like one of the cylinders was starving at first, then picked up. Sorry to see that, but I know you'll get her ship/shape real soon.

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

As it stands, you may refer back and remember, I was being very anal about "NOT" cutting any holes in the cowl. Hence the engine swap would be cake. I just need to see where the cylinder of the BE would sit in relation to the big nodule on the bottom of the cowl. I half way suspect I would have...
