140 hours at our local automotive labor and paint and material rate, that would pay $12,600. I'll take that job!;)

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Yeah this ones going to be electric. I want something to take to the field with me when I'm taking electric helicopters. Since the helis are on 6S I'm hoping to fly the Tipo on 6S as well, but I'll go to 8S if the performance of 6S isn't good enough.

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

Just for the record when I primed yesterday I used Nason 421-19 primer with 483-87 activator at a 4 to 1 mix. To that I added 7.5% DuPont 2350S flexible additive. I then added a little less than 10% Nason 441-21 reducer. The cured primer is very flat and smooth and not grainy at all. It should...

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

I primed the surface to get rid of the "fabric look" and get rid of any line from the covering overlap. The 2K primer needs to be sanded to make the paint adhere and i just like to make the surface as smooth as possible, and it's easy to get carried away and sand to much, especially right at the...

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

Good question actually. I used flex additive and a little reducer. Both will make it lay a little smoother. I will lightly sand the open areas with 400 most likely. The primer went down pretty well, so it should work fine with any luck. I just need to be really careful around the edges of the...

I did some priming yesterday. Getting closer. Now it's time to lock in a paint scheme choice.

No it will be a new Tipo 750 build. I want to try it on 6S, but will probably go to 8S just to get the performance I want. If it doesn't scream by like a Banshee it's just not classic pattern.
