    IMAC Scratch build Laser 200

Probably has to do more with precision than anything else. Having a retractable lower vertical is something nobody sees and will be truly unique. Would get a lot of attention if you did have any interest in it. Either way, your builds a re a joy to follow!!

I’m going out flying thread 2019

Took the icon A5 to the lake. Had a good fifteen minutes of flying. Until it flipped taxing on the downwind. This is why you bring your lovely wife along to go retrieve your plane. Could have been just because it was my birthday.... otherwise maybe she’d laugh and make me go get it.

I see what you did there. Doozy ha ha! Pretty neat to look over vintage plans! Glad you like it! It’s in the upper 70s here and we Alaskans are buying cool drinks, ice cream, and busting out the swimming trunks. All builds on hold! Ha ha ha. Man here in Alaska we don’t skimp out on a nice day...

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

Just let someone else build it first and let you know :epic: When I built a mojo40 there was enough room in the wing to reposition the battery and then the rails provided a little wiggle room forward and aft to accommodate a little CG placement. Usually the fuel tank just is where it is - don't...

SERIOUSLY HA HA! 15 pages of hangar talk! I'm still in wingtube search mode, servos, looking to get the DLE20 but my normal peeps are out of stock for now (VVRC/NWRC), Plans are printed... Plus, I need to finish my Otter... that's the biggest hurtle. Summertime makes it hard for sure!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Maybe I should rephrase that. . . I'm not trying to paint the windows. I love those tips though!!!! Taillight tint... good idea. Love how Terry can create a beautiful one of a kind tint look, top shelf result there. What I'm trying to do is not have too much paint soak into the balsa. Was...

Any ideas for the best method to paint the inside of this canopy? Going with a medium gray. Keeping it light as possible, not sure whether to lightly dust it with spray polyurethane and then brush on some paint. Thoughts?

Could have for sure. Maybe it's just me being lazy. Takes time to draw it up, and I haven't tried to epoxy PLA plastic before. Most plastic control horns are nylon I believe and they flex easier than PLA, so If I were to try to attach it like a conventional control corn, I'm pretty sure it...

Worked on some G10 sheet with a hacksaw, dremel, and belt sander. Made me some Fowler flaps for the otter, not much materieal for them to grab onto, so that will be challenging. But at least I’m making some sort of headway.... can’t steer a parked car after all.

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

I got the specs from John, man that guy is quick and said he'll update the website when he gets some time. busy with production he said! I did see they are 3pole motors, but the sticker price is great for a slab. There are a lot of servo options in the $70 range, but most lack speed or torque or...

The issue I have with most 8oz tanks is they are too short. Those tanks are a little longer and should suffice.

John needs to update his page for this servo, but 270oz/.12/8.4? $45 so should be just over 200 at 6.6 id imagine. http://www.promodeler.com/DS270DLHV 305oz/.07/8.4 which is 250/.09/6.6 I think $70 these would fit the bill at 6.6 and HV. Might be my choice. http://www.promodeler.com/DS305CLHV

Scale 20cc Edge 540 Profile “The Glitter”

I think I’ll try something a little quicker. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews with PHD servos. I’ve been itching to try out some KST or Promodelers. Also. Not sure if 6.6 A123 would end up a little heavy in comparison to a little LiPo
