    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

I also can't find any warm and fuzzies for a 55. I think it's because the 54 and the Sukhoi style and lines just flow. The 55 to me just don't look right. But then you're talking to a guy that is totally head over hills with the 260's.

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

They are both great airframes. While they both are very capable at everything and "anything" you toss at them, the Yak (in my opinion) has a slight advantage for stability, smoothness and grace. Especially this big girl. On the other hand, the Edge is very high spirited, quick and crisp. It...

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

Well have I got a deal for you! How would you like to have my trusty and ever faithfull 107" Purple Pilot Edge? I'm going to strip it and let the airframe go for 500.00 American dead Washingtons. She's never been crashed, (though there are times I wonder how I managed to gather it up before she...

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

Hey good morning. Yes, this is a genuine Pilot brand Yak. I am getting all wood for the repair from Tony at Pilot RC. Though I've lightly damaged a Pilot Edge once, this truly is the first time I have needed to call upon the luxury of taking advantage of the offering Pilot gives for free...

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

Well, I bit the bullet tonight and ordered all the wood needed to complete the repairs to the big Pilot 40% 129" Yak belly. After her sudden and most bogus fall from the sky due to a dead stick landing, the belly at the landing gear area was quite badly damaged. I had contemplated "not"...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I spent most of the day working on a friends 50cc Pilot Edge. It is coming along quite nicely and will be finished up tomorrow. I think he is getting really excited to fly it. Also bit the bullet and ordered all the wood needed to do the repairs on the downed Yakster. Oh the joy...

    3w 210csts reeds

Decisions have been made today. Most good I hope. First, my son put three more perfect flights on his 124 powered 330. He even let me yank the sticks a bit. I've decided I really "REALLY" like the way that plane flies. Even inverted harriers are so simple. It is so capable of everything but...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

My son and I got out today to maiden his new Pilot 35% Extra 330sc with the BE 124 up front. What a gorgeous plane. And that 124 just yanked that plane around like it was nothing. We're going to do a repeat tomorrow morning. (I think he likes the plane and engine):yesss: Of course I just...
