The I'm going out flying thread 2016

This is our weather all week. So I figure on going early in the morning this weekend. Gotta git some laps on the RCGF 120 Edge. Too much fun to not fly it.

    Curious. Ethanol or not

Yup, that would be it. Metal tank I mean. So here is a short lil story of why I asked you the questions I did. I purchased the sweetest generator for my trailer from a pawn shop. I got it for 60 bucks out the door. It was brand new but they said they had it like three months and could never get...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

That's rather interesting. Do you remember if your tank had Ethanol in it or Non? When you "winterized" it, did you put anything in the tank? Stabil? Or like? Metal tank? The reason I ask these questions is, I have worked on customers cars that have sat idle for long periods of time and the gas...

Share your ideas for safe pre-flight and flying

I am most definitely with you on this. Problem with having the high side blade past the top of the arch is that as you pointed out, you have a natural tendency to swing "into" the plane and thus run the risk of getting caught in the prop. By having the top blade "before" the top of the arch...

    RCGF 120

I prefer the Opto-kill for two primary reasons. Cost: 12 bucks shipped. Also, don't have to use an extra ignition battery. It can be plugged straight into rx. or SF board.:way_to_go:

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Love the TDRC tanks. Everyone of my planes now sports one. Well, except the Cessna...it's pretty much 100% out of site and out of mind. How's come you're flying through trees now? Doesn't you know they are for birds? The "feathered" kind of birds. Great pics Mike. I never have a...

    Pilot RC 107" Extra 330SC

I have to agree with you Joe. I think the Sukhoi is by far the most stable and calming 40 percent still in production. Could be why they are still selling like hot cakes huh?

That Yak is awesome. Congrats all the way around. Our weather wasn't as nice as most it seems. Quite windy, but still pulled off some really good flying. The Edge and the RCGF 120 are a perfect union of power and agility. Wicked cool fun.

    RCGF 120

RCexl Opto-kill switches are...killer. Bwaahaa haa haa. Thank you one and all. I'll be here all week. Best on the market.

    RCGF 120

I was very skeptical at first. Knawing feeling in the pit of my stomach. But this usually happens when trying something different than what I am accustomed to. Sucks about your motor. I honestly put mine through the wringer on the last of the second flight and "ALL" of the third flight...

    RCGF 120

So the install of the RCGF 120 was pretty straight forward. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Other than the throttle arm that needed an addition. But no problem when ya got pieces parts everywhere from various other hoopties. I used a cut off control horn from my behemoth Yak when I did the...

    RCGF 120

Just in from flying and cleaning up. The RCGF 120 actually performed quite nicely. I got in three really good long flights. Even though the wind was blowing (go figure) pretty hard, I still managed to get a real good idea of how this motor is going to do. First flight, just a tick more pull out...

    Sport The 182 gets "Gassed"

That's awesome. I always wanted a big spacewalker. The bigger the better. Truth is, I "really" did enjoy putting the Cessna in the air again. Thing is, I got bored with circles and loops and rolls. And that damn messy glow. Ick! When I shifted gears and entered the giant scale gas world, I felt...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

7:52 a.m. and the newly RCGF 120 equipped Pilot Edge is loaded and we're rolling. Been missing the sky dancing this wicked lil Edge does. Can't wait to see if the RCGF 120 really is a beast as reported. Here we go @Taildragger R/C.:banana-dance:
