All I can say Chris is this. 6500 static stock muffs. with Falcon 28x10. The Edge lost about a pound and a half just as we figured. Comes in at a whopping 26 pounds. Just buttoned mine up moments ago. Taking out of here at 8 bells a.m. I have a few pictures that I will upload just as soon as I...

    Sport The 182 gets "Gassed"

Thanks...it was actually fun. Tree? Tree????? Umm....yeah, if I fly about ten miles in any given direction I might find one somewhere. Lol

Dang, I remember when mine were his age. And I had 3 of them to contend with all by myself. I wouldn't trade those 17 years of raising them by myself for all the rc planes in the world. I'm going to design a throttle arm this morning, hook up the gas pedal linkage, mount the mufflers and prop...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Sounds as though you developed an air leak or picked up something in one of the ports. Maybe both? Hope you get it ironed out.

Calling it a night. Adjusted, readjusted...and readjusted once more. Got my final cowl to back plate spacing set. Right at a slight 1/8" clearance. Centering came out pretty good too. Ya'll know how anal I can be. So with that being said, I decided to use the original cowl that was cut up...

Initial mounting and an itsy-bitsy twist-a-roonie on the fuel inlet on the Walbro. I will be adding another 1/8" aluminum spacer as the supplied standoffs are not quite long enough. Also had to get longer bolts. Lesson to be learned Rob, never ever cut a firewall for a 4 cylinder unless...

    Sport The 182 gets "Gassed"

Here is the short version of an uneventful flight. Wow, I have gotten so used to counting on the motor of my planes to fly them. I think I may have to re-learn how to fly a plane that actually uses the wings for lift. Definitely no 3D machine, but I am actually very impressed with the DLA 32cc...

Thanks for the call and info today Mark. I do love my dubs. But after after you spread your little ray of sunshine, I may have to seriously look at the 180 for the next big project. For the ponies, the rpm, the price tag and even the looks...it may not be a redhead, but hey...I can learn to...

I was just a little envious last week. But "HA"! Mine is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Doo do do...!! Thanks Chris for the insight and over all looksie. I am more anxious now than I was last week. I do see what you mean now about the case halves. Yes, it would be awesome if they assembled the...

    Sport The 182 gets "Gassed"

Well, here we are. Last of the preparations made and she is just about as ready as she will ever be. Aileron servos showed up today. Now installed and all fine adjustments made. Checked the balance and she is good to go. Actually, she was terribly light in the nose. I knew she would be. But...

Or the end user that inadvertently adds a wink link in an attempt to make it more trustworthy. When in fact, if most of those gizmos and cool little devices were tossed out the window...chances are the intended robust system will then become truly robust. I occasionally see a setup someone has...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

That's too funny. We must be twin son's fom different mothers. Lol....I do the same thing where my truck is concerned. Why is it our planes get the best motors, the best batteries, the best servo's and the best gas. But the vehicle we use to transport our fine flying machines has to suck it up...
