The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Where do you get your Glacier Lipos? buddy RC or is there somewhere else? The pulse batteries are really nice, but the price is getting up there. I've been using the EZ Flite Pro packs from headsup rc. They work good for my missions, flight times seem a little shorter, but the price is right for me.

    Let’s Talk Fuel Lines!

I looked all over the interwebs and there is a lot of different viton tubes out there. Some have found the correct style from McMaster-Carr, but others and myself go with another reputable source - PSP. The wall thickness is part of the issue. http://www.pspmfg.com/FuelLine.html

    Let’s Talk Fuel Lines!

I did some research on this a while back. One guy (Jharkin) dug up most of this on the other site. Every tubing has it's purpose. whether it's heat resistant, flexible, fuel/ethanol resilience. Viton = (thick wall and black unless it's the Sullivan Pro-Flex version of the stuff which is tan)...

The polished weighted one is the china knock off next to the large one. The weight has a little slop in the plastic container, whereas the kama one has a pretty tight fit. I'm sure either will be fine.

Now I'm just confusing myself... The dirty one is the one that was in the fortitude 16oz tank. Notice it has only one barb and the inside diameter is larger. I measured it and it's 1/8" ID.... wouldn't you think that the ones designed for 1/8" fuel line should have an 1/8" ID... or am I...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I was surprised to see a screen in there. No way to clean it though. People seem to think felt will end up in the carb, but no so much when there is a screen as well. But less than five bucks for a true KAMA filter, a guy can replace it every few years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Okay so check it out. The extreme flight flowmaster clunk inlet hole was 50% plugged, it wasn't cleaned up very well. Also I found out that the cap screwed off easily... not very comforting. The second flowmaster clunk wasn't plugged up. I did notice more resistance with the plugged one, however...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

OOOO the carbon MOJO!! I dream't of this idea many a time. Mostly with the tail to stiffin it up though. It would be hard to keep the weight down on a 20cc version, maybe a 35cc would be a fun size for a profile carbon mojo... I like the idea of a carbon fuse and tail section personally, they...

Anybody know what the manufacture of this 1m DLG is?? It's a 4ch foam core and glassed wing and tail. Carbon boom, and a plastic pod. I bought it at a swap meet in Washington, owner wasn't there, but his friend sold it for him. Been itching to put it together but to be frank I don't know much...

I found a ten pack on amazon for $3.00!!! Type in "ZAMA fuel filter" and it pops up in a few styles. ZAMA is owned by STIHL and was used in Homelite products as well I found out. There are a lot of china knock offs... everywhere. STIHL is made in the USA. ZF-1 is for 1/8" line there is an...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Okay so I have some sort of results from my primitive testing. I installed a new ignition cap and carb. left the extreme flight flowmaster filter in the tank. so that didnt change. I choked the engine, flipped and flipped and flipped (did I say flipped??). No fuel getting picked into the line at...

Lol birds of a feather my friend, just started installing some 4ft LED tube light replacements that bypass the ballast... no more buzzing and supposedly 65% energy savings woot woot. I can really see in the garage much better!!! So I replaced the plug cap in my dle35, and a new cm6 plug. If...

Thanks for the input guys, I like the fortitude clunk concept with less felt, metal, and a plastic retainer. Part# FORA1004 looking for replacement filters but they are hard to find. Felt is nice since it literally will suck up every drop and retain a fuel in a downline when the clunk is...

Well I did a little research and one fellow claims he was getting air bubbles through his Flowmaster Felt Clunk with it under 2" of fuel. As someone else mentioned when there is liquid flow resistance under a vacuum it will create bubbles. The best way I can relate is a boat prop spinning fast...
