    Thanks for the input @Bipenut53 and @Bunky.F.Knuckle I'm going to try out some new Savox HV servos SV-1260MG from @SupaTim 's NWRC. There are a little heavy, pricey (yet cheaper than MKSHV9767) and stupid high torque/speed on 7.4V let alone 8V. Overkill.... most definitely. :yesss: fun fun fun!

    Brought the 71" slick out to the field. slapped it together, fueled it up, took down the runway barriers, did a preflight...... darn. one of the allen head clamshell bolts on the LH aileron Spot-On RC V1 Servo arm had sheared. Maybe a post flight checkup should have been done.... and OF course...

    Drove past it. It's just the warehouse. I bet if you called prior they'd show you around. But the unit block number 5300 door says authorized access entry only. So there I have it, out of time to call, have to catch an airplane!

    Still thinking an intermittent failure on the receiver. So new receiver for sure. Maybe a ferrite ring around the tech aero? Or a new tech aero. Engine was running great even during the lock out, so I doubt it's a battery issue since the tech aero runs off the rx.

    Good news, I sanded the reed block, replaced the plugs with new ones from VVRC and re-timed the engine to 28-30btdc. The engine runs much better. It will still die 96% of the time from WOT to idle, but a gradual decrease is fine. Transition is great from idle to WOT, maybe a tad on the rich...
