    IMAC Delro 2.5M Raven Build

Nice! The first fiberglass and foam wing airplane I ever built was a Cosmic Wind. The instructions were on one typed sheet with no pictures. The instructions for building the wing were "Build the wing"

    3D Viper-ST 100-120cc scratch build......it continues!

Was wondering if you have used this over the top of epoxy resin? Though I always use it over epoxy primer, I have never tried it over epoxy resin. Now that you brought it up I want to do an experiment and see. I have an epoxy glass cowl at home that has an area I need to cut off. Later this...

Terry, I emailed you a copy of Nasons tech sheet for the epoxy. Overnight dry if you going to sand it. It may still be sort of gummy and clog the paper. If you can let it sit longer you might be better off. As for the gun, the 1.4 tip is more inline with their recommendations, but since...

    **sticky** Understanding Lithium Polymer Batteries

Cobra has a very helpful static prop data chart for the motor that I used to select the motor in the first place. Using their figures I should be at 23amps, 255 watts, with a static pitch speed of about 90mph, but real world results always vary. I've never checked it. Their data with that...

    **sticky** Understanding Lithium Polymer Batteries

    I've set up few. The ESC is a Cobra 33 amp. The motor is a Cobra 2213/12 2000kv with an APC speed 6 x 5.5. The battery is a 3s 2200mAh 20c.

    **sticky** Understanding Lithium Polymer Batteries

I hadn't considered the low voltage cutoff. I just checked and it's set to the reduced power mode, with a 3volt cut off. I find it hard to believe the voltage is getting that low, and I would think if that was the case, it would slow down a lot more, but who knows.

    3D Viper-ST 100-120cc scratch build......it continues!

Terry, if you ever do this again you should look at using Spies Hecker spray polyester filler for this filler step. If your last glass and resin step has sealed off your foam then spraying the Spies can really speed along the process. It fills really well and sands way easier than the glazes...

    **sticky** Understanding Lithium Polymer Batteries

I've been wondering about that. On a low C rating battery can the power noticeably drop off even though the battery is still over 50% charge? I've got a little 31" scratch built pylon racer I just swapped to electric. It makes awesome power for the first minute or so then seems to slow down...

Tail Wheel Steering, Springs vs Fuel Tubing or other setups

That's how I did the rudder end of mine and on the steering arm side I made a loop through the end of a wire tie like your doing a rudder cable. I used braided fishing line at first, but the thin arm sawed through it so I replaces it with rudder cable. Kind of hard to see in this picture.
