    You make a very good point. And I am certainly just adding to content here. You have to keep in mind that slapping a much more dense material as water vice air is much more violent and understandably would cause fatigue and stress failure at a higher rate. To me a "projectile" is a projectile...

    You make a really good point about metal props. I think "in the day" it was thought of "best safety practice" but now we have extremely powerful engines on big aircraft. I think a metal prop would be more safe. Downfall would probably be a very high loading prop.

And as far as unbalanced rotating mass......I have seen steam turbine rotors break through and lift off turbine casing covers weighing...

    I got a Midland 720p (like a go pro). Best thing to do is go to a pawn shop and get a Sony or Samsung or something with a good zoom like 24x. I saw one (365 retail) for 85 bucks and should have snatched it up. But I was there hocking for RC funds lol.

    NAVY Captains do no wrong! lol FYI. Navy Liason officers are found at all branches, commands. Navy operates more aircraft than the Air Force. Marine air core included with the Navy air core.

    Never had a prop actually destruct from operating loads. Will be interesting to hear. Like you, I run mainly carbon. I am wondering if it could be wood quality/durability. Like a grain pattern that is erratic or just a bad piece of wood that slipped through the cracks and got made in to a model...

    Very well said as being state of mind! We are the same age (56). I know a BADD AZZ 3D pilot who is 62! Give a 24 yo a run for their money. I feel so "inferior" to him. Yet I CAMPION His achievement.
