The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I tried helis once... Could loop them fly them inverted....but just gave up and admitted I will never be good with a heli like I am with a plane...Would like to see top heli pilots go at it in FPV racing with the 250 size quads....

Ha ha! That 50cc has been going on strong for the past few years. DLE 55 is plenty, but I kind of want that little extra power like you get with the DA120s. But going with the HV setup it should be lighter. I have two A123s for the rx. Plan on either going to one or two lipos. Either way it...

Pulled this one off the shelf today... Have not flown it in a year....Going to upgrade it to a high voltage setup. Surprise that the DLE 55 cranked right up... Been debating to put a da70 but not sure if it will fit for one and it would be extremely over powered :)

This is a cool night flight with Pixhawk Auto Pilots. One plane is a Ready Made R/C Anaconda and the next plane is a Avistar Trainer. Both equipped with Pixhawk Autopilots and both have the same Auto Mission Loaded with 100 foot altitude separation. Close to 1.5 miles away. Funny part about...

We did something cool last night. Sent two planes up on Autopilot following the same course with 100 feet separation. They both had Navigation lights and it looked like two real airplanes flying at the distance. I believe we went a mile away. Hope to get video uploaded of it later today.

This just might fly tonight! Has an autopilot and FPV stuff on board. Of course I will be keeping it LOS...but the current setup could go 5 miles if I really wanted to.....but no way in the world I would do that...

The plane is called a Ready Made RC Anaconda. It is a pusher plane with a twin boom inverted V tail. Kind of looks like the Shadow UAV the military uses.

Lol that video I posted almost fit this.... But there was no getting out of that situation....def flying FPV it's hard to tell what's happening sometimes. Plus it wasn't a stall like the old guys do with their warbirds! :)

How long to let an engine warm up?

Its always a good idea once the engine is crank to let it idle for a good 10-20 second. Then give it a few clicks of throttle and let it stay there another 10 to 20 seconds. Then smoothly do a full throttle run up.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I really like pushing the limits and showing what these planes can really do in heavy cross winds. Wish more people would go out and learn what the left stick is suppose to do.... I think many people skip that in training and it shows when it is a windy cross wind day! I swear I can't park my...
