Wow, really weird. DHL shows the package in Ohio at 02:13 this morning. And in SLC just after 4 a.m. That is one fast plane they put it on. Lol. Processed through SLC just after 8 this morning. Unfortunately, disheartening news. I have been keeping and eye on the tracking from DHL for the exhaust. Funny how this all works. It took exactly one day...1 DAY, to get from the heart of China, through customs in Hong Kong and over the sea to Ohio. One stinking day. But thanks to the good ole...- stangflyer

A crud but hopefully promising air flow test. Turn "down" the volume. I sound like such a moron. Lmao. Wheel pants, exhaust and balance is all that's left. Oh yeah, and a mock up walk around. Got the left side done tonight. All in all, it came out pretty good. I did an air flow test after everything was in place. By using a burning match and my heat gun, (no heat-just air) I was able to see if this thing is even going to flow air. Much to my surprise even the very low volume of...- stangflyer

The split baffling was just not coming out the way I wanted it to. Too many things in the way to make it clean and allow for positive flow. So, I changed it up some. After looking at other options, I chose to design a shroud on top of the cylinders. I've seen this done before and from everything...- stangflyer

I have them split and ducts going from the front cowl inlets across all four cylinders to ram the air down through the cylinders. I don't forsee a heating issue.- stangflyer

What I did not catch on the video is where it fell backwards and ended up inverted with the left wing very low. I was pretty impressed. He couldn't have been more than 30 feet off the top of the sage brush. He stayed calm and collected, flew the plane, pushed up, rolled upright and climbed out.- stangflyer

Just about done with the baffling. Ugh...can I change my mind on the motor now? Lol. Just a little bit more to do on top of the motor and build an air deflector on the bottom of the fuse. I've opened up the lower inlet on the cowl and will build a velocity tube inside to help "draw" air...- stangflyer

Definitely next weekend. I am pretty sure the last of the plane is almost done. Finishing the baffling and then we "BLAST" off. Oh yeah, I wonder if I can "HUCK" my four cylinder the same way my son "HUCKS" his DLE 222 four cylinder?! LOL- stangflyer
