    I am...but I wanted to do something different. That was why the hub bub of trying the monster 176. But since I just "CAN'T" get it to balance, it's back to motor options. Hmmmm......I'm thinking a DA 360 six cylinder would be oh so sweet. :yesss:

    That's for certain Terry. I had hoped I get the Hemp to balance with the 176. I have never questioned it's power to weight ratio or if it would fly the Hemp. Biggest concern was getting it to balance. Apparently "I" was wrong. I was told the Hemp is by nature extremely "NOSE" heavy. This I could...

    I actually did some research on that motor last night. It is actually no longer being produced. As it turns out from what I read, the A100, A200 single motor replaced this four motor setup. This one actually didn't use what you would expect for batteries. But still a bit extreme. The new A100's...

    If I remember correctly, Bill tested the 3W240 Quad and reported that it flew the plane nice, but for all out "Beast" power, he recommended the 275. I am sure there are a few out there that can either confirm or discredit this.

    Not at this point, I don't think so. I had really hoped that the numbers would work. But I really just do not think I can get it to balance with that light weight motor up front. "EVEN" if I set it up the way I planned. I am not willing to "ADD" weight to the plane just to get it to balance...

    Fema on board electric starter? Those darn things are so cool. Here is my Hanbar 9 95" Cessna 182 equipped with a Saito 180 four stroke and Fema on board electric start.
