    30% Pilot Edge Repair

Between errands and other obligations, I did get time to repair the rudder. Having a removable rudder sure made this task a lot easier. After removing the rudder, I started by pealing back just enough of the covering to expose the damaged framework. After re-attaching and gluing the broken...

    30% Pilot Edge Repair

I figured starting up front was going to be a primary objective. Mainly "knowing" the damage of the front end would ultimately decide whether I repaired it, or just took a bat to it like Tim from Redwing. LOL..... I chose to fix it....Tim can keep his bat. The motor box really wasn't broken...

    30% Pilot Edge Repair

It happens to the best of us. The fact is, the odds are stacked against us. We may slide for a couple of days, weeks, months or even years. But eventually it catches up to us. Such is the case of my little 30% Pilot Edge this past Sunday. I decided to take the Sukhoi and my Pilot Edge to the...

Hmmm....!!!! Anyone interested in a BH 50% Edge 540? Real cheap. I'm not going to sleep now until I own one of these baby's. Congratulations Terry. Not often in this hobby can we as modelers make a positive impact other than what we offer of our knowledge, time and assistance to others. The bar...

Got some stick time again today. Much like the rest of you, wind was up....wind was down. Wind was up....wind was down. I put three flights on the Sukhoi and three flights on the lil Edge. Unfortunately my rudder touching harriers were too much fun and mother earth and father wind put a KYBOSH...

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

Wow... that sucks. Guess I was informed incorrectly. I wanted the 9380's for the Sukhoi but chose the 7950's because one; I was informed by two reps. of the mah useage. Spent a lot of time researching before I purchased. And the other was cost. I just couldn't swing a buck eighty per servo. My...

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

The torque value of a coreless may seem significantly higher, but in reality it is a true myth. I say true, because they are rated higher, but the myth is really not a myth in reality. A coreless starts running up to operating speed at the instant it gets a signal from the transmitted input. It...

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

Maybe a little help for those that may be experiencing some servo "jitter" from Hitec 79** servos. 35% PAU Extra 300SP/Hitec HS 7954SH/HV all control surfaces. 40% SD Models Extra 260/Hitec HS 7954SH Ailerons and Elevators/HS 7980TH Rudder/HV 42% Hangar 9 Sukhoi SU26/Hitec HS 7950TH all...

Copy that!! I have gone through my share of pain. Broken back in '93, shattered my left foot July of '13. Now I just fly, fly, fly. Speaking of flying.... Though the wind was being not nice, I took advantage of it and did some stationary harriers with the 260 and the PAU today. LOL.... Another...

Ah but the upside of your woes? You have a roof over your head and shelter for your hoopties. Plus you have a new plane on its way and a brand new DA 70 twin in which to outfit that new ride. You are vertical and mobil. Life is "goooood"!!!:banana-dance:

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

No... actually what I use is an all HV system with no regs. Have no jitters, jiggles, wiggles or chattering. I have used regs. to volt down for non HV servos before I went all HV. I've also ran single battery low and high voltage with and without the SF. The system I like best and in my opinion...

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

Don't know if this would help, but as I understand it, Hitec makes a "signal booster" to help with this. I actually have about ten of them I never used because my Hitec has been so crystal clear and the servos so very stable. Talk to @Xpress about the signal boosters.
