    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

Oh yeah, good times for sure. We had about 100 people there, a small crowd due to the crappy weather we had all weekend. Usually there's 200-300 people there, and we cook a few hogs and drink about a silo of beer. :D I did fly the EF Extra about 10 times on Friday, and the heli saw a few...

Yeah, it has some dirt caked in it but it was still spinning when I walked out to pick up the pieces. I think the esc suffered some damage because i killed the throttle as soon as it went in, so it shouldnt have been running... I think my Rx is toast, it looks like it was cremated. The two old...

It is way beyond saving... I still had control after detonation, so I was going to bring it back in and load up another round, but the fire burnt the elevator servo wires and that's when it went in, LOL. My sister in law took some awesome photos, I'll post those when she sends them to me. This...

    Motorcycle Shenanigans

I've still got the Suzuki Z400 I used to race, it's all back to stock again except for the exhaust system. I quit racing quads cuz I was tired of feeling like I had been in a bar brawl every night. LOL

We've got about $2k worth of fireworks set up for tonight, we put on a pretty big show every year. Usually a 50/50 mix of artillery shells and big cakes. :)

Oh, we usually set off a couple hundred of them every year. Ive got the flashbang type, the ones that are more loud than colorful. :D What I was thinking would happen is they would have just enough propulsion to shoot themselves out of the hole they'll likely burn in the side of the fuselage.

I didn't have an ESC big enough to fly it on 6S, so I have shoehorned a Motrolfly 4330 (the sticker says 4325, but it's a 4330..) into it, running on 12S. This the motor and ESC I had in my 72 Extra, so if it doesn't twist the fuselage in half, I'll be impressed! LOL

Hopefully Walmart still sells model rocket engine igniters, as no hobby shop is open today.

This ol bird has been issued a death warrant; two artillery shells inside the fuse, duct taped together facing toward each other (so they don't shoot through the fuse when the go off). Just gotta devise a 6v igniter so I can trigger detonation from my radio. Should be cool to watch, I'll get it...

limited landing area. How big can I get away with?

For sure, I would fly a 50cc at a different location until you're comfortable landing it there. Sometimes having the extra space makes all the difference, even if you don't actually need it.

    22nd Annual Wally's Squadron 2013 Fly-In. August 15-18

After being blown away by the fun of the Cape G show, I was told that Knoxville is way better. Sorry you won't be there. :P

They float... Just ask Hugocraft. :D Really though, if it flames out over the pond, I'd say you'll likely have enough glide slope to land it unless you're harrier landing it.

    2nd Annual 3DHS Mid-America Fly-Low-In - June 27-30, 2013 Cape Girardeau, MO

Bigfoot did take a pretty hard blow to the head! Some facial reconstruction surgery and a spinal realignment will have him flying again I'd say. But, if I worked in a warehouse full of new airframes, I'd be pretty hard pressed to mess with rebuilding one. :D

I'm trying to, but it won't let me change that setting, likely due to the soundtrack's copyrighting.. EDIT: Yeah, it will only allow me to change the license if I remove the music. It's the boring drone of a Scorpion outrunner and wind noise when I remove music.
