    The cowl has two openings on each side of the spinner on the 3DHS 300, while on the real 300, it is one crescent shaped opening around the entire spinner. There are other differences I'm sure, but that one is the most noticeable to me.

    I don't know that I'd put two packs in a 72 unless they're fairly small, due to weight. A 2s 2200 got about 5 flights (if my memory serves me correctly) and was down to 7.8-7.9 volts, so it probably could have gone 7 or 8 flights between charges.

    Ashleigh, if you have a 2S pack leftover from your ignition when it was a gasser, I'd run straight 2S through the servos (provided they can handle 2S). That eliminates a component, and thereby eliminates a point of failure.

    I'd get a CC BEC Pro, it'll handle the current with room to spare. Just make sure to disable the ESC's internal BEC if you use an external BEC. To do that, just pull the red (or brown, depending on the wire) wire out of the connector on the end that plugs into the receiver.

    When I'm gluing hinges, I always get the control surface fitted in place, then deflect it until it the bevel stops it. A drop of thin CA on the exposed hinges, then deflect it the other way until it stops, and dab some CA onto that side of it. That way, you know your hinge gap will allow...

    If the hinge line isn't straight, I'd redo them, or at least that particular hinge. The part with the least amount of gap will bind before the rest, and restrict your throw.

    ^^^ +1. I had a DLE30 that never ran right after it was crashed. Granted, it lawn darted from about 300' LOL, but you may want to go ahead and get a carb rebuild kit for it. I think what happened with mine was that the impact tore/distorted/otherwise damaged the carb's internals.

    I see Teookie answered, but, YES. They do seem to do everything a bit slower due to their size, but when you tumble a 48" plane, it's like a quickie; hot and wild for an instant. On a 50cc bird, it's like a porn scene; hot and wild for wwwaaaayyyy longer than you need. LOL...
