I would also reconsider opening up the hinge gap. Flutter is a bad thing. A plans built Lanier should be fine for Basic IMAC- Daytonarc

GP 88 Evo thread
Sent the GP 88 EVO to Joe Lewis at Aviator Plus RC on Monday to check it out, after a prop strike there was some fuel that leaked at the front of the engine. GP 88 Evo thread
So far the engine has been flawless. 27x10 Falcon 2 gals. through it. Unfortunately prop met runway today, no damage to plane but sending engine in to make sure bearings and or crank are still ok.
