    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

Thanks Terry, I am going to put together some sizes. Does the new PAU Viper come with these or are they the control horn bolts from 1984?

Terry, Those are the ones you make correct? I have made some of my own but I'm never happy with them. Can I buy a dozen of those from you? I think you made some rudder ones for Planebender, I would like some of those also if possible.

If you are dropping in an SWB rudder servo tray, the existing wood tray needs to be cut out down the middle. If you go pull/pull the stock rudder control arms will not give you full throw of the rudder. That's one reason I like the push pull. On my last extra I went with pull/pull and I am...

I use RTV - no gasket and nordlock washers with blue Loctite. Seems to hold all the time for me.

For me the smaller the plane the more I need a throttle curve. I have an EF 91 Extra and without a curve I'm all over the place LOL.

I know others will probably give more educated answers but here is my take. I know exactly what you are saying. I have had over powered planes and it drove me crazy trying to just do a basic hover. When I learned how to set the proper throttle curve with points it changed my world. Now I want...

We fly most of our Pilot planes with cans and notice no difference. Pilot is one of the most floaty slow planes I think. Where they lack is the high energy stuff which is why most kids don't fly them. The wings are very thick so they don't do riffle rollers. I had an extreme flight 104 and it...

    3D Big Ailerons

I use single stage on wood. Not sure if its better or not but it's fast an easy. Plus if some of the grain shows threw I think it will stand out more with clear (I think). It sure does make for easy clean up when the plane is six months old!

Strength is not an issue as Terry say's as long as you use fender washers. I also drill a 1/8" hole next to the engine bolt hole and epoxy a dowel in it to keep the wood from crushing under pressure from tightening the bolts. I have also found the engine has a better atmospheric pressure with...

I always cut the opening larger on the 330. I never make baffle my engines. I use a single sheet on the lower part. The picture is of the old split cowl but I do the same on the one piece except I glue the solid bottom wood piece to the cowl.

I built that plane and I've built a couple other Yaks. They weight right around 27-30lbs depending on options.

Lets see some updates! I haven't touched a plane in two days. To busy building a BBQ island. Only plane thing I've done is call around looking for a spinner bolt. I'm going through with drawls. Starting to get the shakes:spongebob:

Joe, I almost lost a plane due to that receiver last week. The 7018 has some problems as I am sure you are aware of. I returned mine and the tower rep said they are receiving most of them back that were sold. I've never had the lock problem with other Futaba receivers. In fact I run 14HV servos...

I agree. think that's perfect. Some planes have to much IMO. I would rather do a mix on the throttle stick then have it always pull in a harrier.
