    Aerobeez 30cc 71" Extra 330SC

Awesome. I sure love the blue scheme. The red looks much better assembled!

    72" Extra 330SC

I know I can call Extreme Flight and have better than 50/50 of talking to someone. Aerobeez boom, person. I suppose if want to run their company like a online airplane vending machine fine. They were so good back in the day.

    72" Extra 330SC

I have tried to get to them by phone and email. Neither seems to work? New podcast came out just before a new container arrives as usual. Kinda bummed.

The EXTRA 300 EXT Build Thread

What ken said is pretty much true but not gospel. He gave you what you asked for. The application of this power system is up to you. The flight times will be close not longer than 6s. 12s 3300 would be the hot ticket if you got them. But again, if you want good post stall flight it is all about...

The EXTRA 300 EXT Build Thread

"The place where you win with 6s is if you have the packs already" That was my whole point! He said he had 6s 5000 in another post. I also got the 75 amp number from an earlier post. Aeroplayin's number of 68.8 was about the equivalent of a 4325 not the 4330 so I used the number from earlier...

    12s 5000 (798g or 28.14oz x2=56.28 oz or 3.5 lb). 75 Amps x 33% power = 24.75A 5000mAh x 70% safe capacity = 3500mAh 3500mAh is 3.5Ah 24.75 Amps divided by 3.5Ah =7.07 C 60 minutes divided by 7.07C = 8.48 minutes

The EXTRA 300 EXT Build Thread

    This is what I came up with using these figures: 12s 2600 (450g x2= 900g or 31.75oz) based on the estimated amp draw of 75 amps stated earlier. 75 Amps x 33% power =24.75 2600mAh x 70% safe capacity =1820 1820mAh is 1.82Ah 24.75 Amps divided by 1.82Ah = 13.5C 60 minutes divided by...

The EXTRA 300 EXT Build Thread

Like I said earlier, I assumed 12s 5000 785gr x 2 that is an extra 1.75 lbs. What will flight times be on 2600 mah @ 75 amps is 2.08 min (wot and not realistic)? 5000 would be 2.5 @120a How was the motor on the extra above hot?

The EXTRA 300 EXT Build Thread

From the first post "After many hours of searching and trying to find a big airplane that I can afford, I bought an Extra 300" nothing heated. I can care less how anyone spends there money. Ok cool. If this is a budget build in the real world I just wanted to know why 12s would be such an...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

Very good points I had not considered with gas. I am not intimidated by the gas engine as I do have experience with carb tuning. Another thought about flying at home, a deadstick would be much more of an ordeal than at the field. I really do not have much of a charging setup either. That...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

With Toledo and seff right around the corner things could get interesting. I have never owned a gas plane so that is tempting. No 6s around any longer at all. The Velox is sounding like a very fun airframe.

The EXTRA 300 EXT Build Thread

Nice post. I understand tbe advantages of higher voltage and its effects. I ha e read on the subject az well. I just though a 6s 5000 setup is proven and works very well and you have packs. Even higher voltage would be better. You have to draw the line somewhere. Also my thought was a...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

Sorry, moved that over to the build thread. I have noticed that this size seems to do really well on 6-8s. Using packs that many have around. I do understand the advantage of higher voltage setups. I assumed the Freak waz going to use the 6s 5000 he had around. Therefore in my mind one 6s...

Sorry, I do understand that higher voltage is more efficeint. It was just my take that this size plane does very well on 6s so why not take advantage of the lighter weight?

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

It does look very floaty. Tons of power. Super stable harrier! It is down to tbe Velox and Extra (3DHS) or this bad boy. They all look very good. The 3DHS planes are even lighter. That does make the Velox very interesting

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

I just watched it on the other thread! :) Looks so much more in control on electric. Looks like a dang good airframe. Looking at a velox set up vs a 71/72 setup. The blue and white velox has to be the most wicked looking scheme ever. Very cool looking plane.
