    72" Extra 330SC

I'm so going to try these - I hate fiddling with wingbolts but this would make for a pretty easy swap. Thanks for posting them up.

Swapped out the Hyperion for a Motrofly! All I need is some gear and it'll be back in the air. :)

Sounds like I need to have Mark over for some duck hunting and I'll let him keep the spoil - should fix my entire problem in one fail swoop :)

Eugene Oregon 3D Bash & Monster Fest

I'm still trying to get my ducks in a row (as I'm battling some timing issues with my brother-in-law's wedding), but if I am able to break free and attend I'll most likely be pulling up my new little 5x8 trailer with only a few planes in it so it might be a possibility to stuff that with some...

I so have that same issue...but I'm hell bent on breaking out of the mile high club...LOL

Being in the service industry (civil engineering) I totally get this fact, but at the same time if the demand suddenly increases then what we do is find additional temporary consultants that can step in to do one or two specific jobs for us. I don't see why this can't be the case here as well...

Article: Member Review: Extreme Flight 48" Yak-EXP

Nice article...Just so happens that I'm in the market for a 48" plane to replace my foamie and my go to company is out of stock on just about everything. I've been dying to try another style of plane and based on your review I think I've found my next one... Thanks for the write up! Great info.

I never do no throttle - the 57 just seems to need a lot more throttle than most. But that's great advice. I've done that mistake with my 48" epp and lickily it was just a bit if glue - but could imagine what it would do to a balsa. :)

Yeah I've noticed that it likes coming down a little hotter than my other planes...I mainly don't have too much issue with it other than it just doesn't want to come down...much like the little 42" slick...just super floaty when there's little throttle. Will have to practice the power on...

Thanks! - I put a few more batteries threw her yesterday as well...really like the 57" - I'm still get her dialed in but, compared to my smaller birds this one is just about perfect for the windy conditions we constantly get at my home field. handles everything in stride...need to figure out...

    Trailers, Toy Haulers, Etc!

Just picked up my first small RC trailer - it's just a 5x8 but fits all the planes I currently own and one that I will own here sooner or later... Trying to decide how to power the chargers and whatnot at the moment - but here's the progress so far...picked it up for a steal from a family...

I just sent the autocad file to him with my measurements, but I haven't heard back on the cost - looks like the 71" Slick gear is priced at $40 so I'm hoping for about the same. Mike did say that it'll take him about a week to make the mold up and get a few pieces made - good thing is that we...

Yeah - I've had collet style ejections before on my funcub so I really did know better...I'm just surprised that they would even design a system like this based on a collet adapter. Oh Well - I was kind of proud of my landing though...touched done from a pseudo harrier right on all three...

    72" Extra 330SC

Maiden went well - that is until the collet style prop adapter decided it didn't want to hang on for the duration of the flight. Luckily I was flying a mile high and doing a very nice KE spin so I just leveled her out and floated her down. LG took a beating and I have a small tear in one of...

Well I had a successful re-maiden today - a bit windy but the 57 took it in stride - little tough to land but it could be that I'm just not used to it yet. Kept it a mile high but will bring it down lower tomorrow.

I hear you - no rush - it took me like 3 months to put my 57 back together again - life happens but the planes have a way of sticking around...good luck with the flying and then with the college courses thereafter.

Yeah, repair it for sure! No sense in selling another plane :) Post the pics when you get done...always like to see before and afters

Thanks Gyro - not too worried about the color difference...probably never even notice it once in the air...pretty happy to just get her back in the air...won't worry about taking chances with this one now ;)
