    78'' Extra

I hear ya on the reverse starts and the whole starter issue. I'm going to hold out for DA for a while longer. So, 2006! Relatively underpowered glow pattern hybrid flying it like it was an EF or 3DHS electric. 7 years ago! Really Cody, really? I don't know if I should feel better or worse...

    78'' Extra

Hey guys, I have a 78 waiting for power. I just went on the wait for a DA 35. This is my first gasser. I have an ES 40 (cf pipe) with a 30 available. I was going to get a gt33 originally but was attracted to the DA reliability and reputation. The backwards starting of the gt33 turned me off. Any...

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

Still in the oven. School vacations, some other projects and getting flying spooled up in the NE. We'll start testing some sequences and judging criteria soon. Continue to provide comments. Thanks.

Discussion "Right Thrust" and Prop Effects

Thanks Ben, It's really easy in this hobby to tinker and tweak yourself to oblivion! Too many nice planes are lost to not understanding this important information. That Corsair clip says it all! That left stick moves left and RIGHT as well as fwd and back! Pull n pray means pay pay pay...

    91" Extra 300-EXP ARF

    60" Extra 300 EXP

Well, you've certainly come a long way! Great job. Only took a few planes to find precision and 3D nervana!

Funny- Arrrg (parrot says "Raa, MXS rocks MXS rocks, Raa") I'm having similar feelings for the 60" Extra I just maddened.

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

Well, like other competitions it could start as regional events. They don't have to be big. We'll see what happens. It's really about another way to learn and advance in the discipline and hopefully attract (educate) those who oppose it or who exhibit prejudice against it (often knowing very...

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

Thanks. I (we) just want it to be fun and give people a way to start learning to link maneuvers together. Everyone tries (me certainly included) to put together a nice routine to music. To do this successfully requires a solid understanding of the 3D foundation maneuvers, precision abilities...

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

Just a for instance, still in works but- Basic- reversals NOT scored in Basic, allowing entry level pilots to be challenged and have time to reposition without too much pressure. Basically pass oriented maneuvering in a 2:30-3:30 time to allow for two rounds. So, here's a sample...

    Twisted Hobbys 32" Crack Laser!

NICE! Puts a new "twist" on it being there peeking over your shoulder. Well done, a winner for sure.

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

+1 What Cody said! Read- not IMAC freestyle. "not that there's anything wrong with that!" but not in this particular idea.

    60" Extra 300 EXP

Nice, I think I saw that somewhere else. Great site. Like the frog cheering section too!

What do you guys want videos of?

Cody, I mentioned to Brian (Yak dude) about sending 3D sequence samples to include in his sim tutorials. When you get spooled up maybe that could be a good one For you to do "live". Not sure if you would rather start from the beginning- a setup and trim vid with pre brief then flying through the...

Gyro, looks like it could use some vinyl- Shameless plug for Josh! How's training going? If we show up at the restaurant with a 3DRCF tee shirt on do we get a free app! LOL Rapid tac set me up with some Rapid RC. I'll be trying it on the 78. Sched has been tough and got that 60 in...

    Precision Flight Tutorials Episode 5!

Brian, We are like minded for sure! Cody is a invaluable contact for many reasons; instructor, inspiration, INCREDIBLE talent, etc... I think a collective "We" (us here in NH and the NE region, you guys here on 3DRCF and others of like mind) are trying to bring the hobby to the next level...

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

This is a whole different competition. A good idea but not the intent here. We want it to be easier, not more specialized, to be able to compete. This idea needs to be bounced off a manufacturer, I'd be up for it (If I had the plane and power plant!).

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

Jim, after some thought and talking the "touching" isn't a prerequisite to performing a maneuver well and accurately. I think freestyle is the place for the "showmanship". We are trying to keep this a skill developing competition for the Basic and Intermediates as well as a challenge for the...

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

Just re reading the thread to make sure I stay on course! Didn't see this little comment before! Thanks you too:thumbup: I maiden-ed mine yesterday- AWESOME, going to LOVE this one for sure. We're making headway with this great idea. Developing sequences to be tested.

    Precision Flight Tutorials Episode 5!

Well, we are in the "talking it up", promotional phase right now but I think we have a fair amount of interest. Cody W, myself and several club members have been discussing it over the past few months. I started the conversation by suggesting a day at the club for folks to come out in a...
