    The Bell X1 was solid orange with just stars and bars on it though.... that might look good too? :) Then I could take this to warbird events! LOL

    A while back I ordered from the air age store the 40, the super, another set of ultra, and the big Hots just so I'd have them.

    I'll try to do that. There's a lot of lumber in these Ultra Hots. I think it I do another Hots it will be the 40 size to convert to electric. But you never know when I'll get a wild hare and cut a big one. I have been covering some projects and am getting close to ready to start covering this...

    No I haven't. I expect final weight to be 12 lbs or so. My buddy Mo in California built one of my short kits with a DLE 30 and he was just over 12. I have the big hots plans as well and a G62 :). Not saying I'm going to build one but you never know :)

    So this project is on hold for a while as I have a few more builds to complete before I completely clean shop (remove all dust) and then cover several airplanes. It is I think final sanded and essentially ready to cover. I'll report back when I start throwing Ultracote at it! :)

    Cam looks good as always! Did I see one time where you posted a way to get ultracote to stick to ultracote without using heat?
