3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

I brought this up under a different thread here, I realize that you all are talking 6s non-parallel and maybe this wouldn't work at all, but wouldn't having an arming plug on the negative side of the connection eliminate issues also? You'd also have the plus of a secondary motor shut off safety...

    DX8 or not?

Dad -- The only trouble you'll have is not breaking the sticks in half during those wild rollers and pop tops you do! Haha!

    Series Adaptor/Arming Plug Setup

Gary point taken. You have a DX8 right? Does the JR9503 have the throttle kill option? I don't remember seeing it. (anyone know how to get this feature to work on a 9503?) Ultimately I was thinking that with this much power having a separate switch might be a good thing, but I see the point of...

    Series Adaptor/Arming Plug Setup

Hey guys, I am wondering about using my arming plug in conjunction with a series adaptor. I will be running two 4s batteries in series to create 8s. This will be running into a Caste Ice 100. -- Would it be best to put the arming plug between the series adaptor and the ESC or could I put it...

    74" Edge 540

I think I remember reading that the CG on the 74" Edge is 5.25" from the leading edge at the wing root. Is that right?

Sorry for the delay. Thanks for the write up, I have been wondering about the impressions people have of the various gas sizes. This is very informative!

    74" Edge 540

SteveT, what was the spacing between the firewall and the motor mount plate for this plane with the Hacker 60-5s? Thanks!

    Red 3" Extreme Flight Spinner

I am looking to sell my red EF 3" spinner. This is brand new, never been mounted. I just received the spinner and the color is just not quite a match for my plane, so I decided to go black. My loss is your gain. I tore it out of the package, but the installation screws and spacers are still NIP...

Thank you Sir! This is an encouragement. It seems that if I get this DLE20 down the 50+ should come easier.

That is my understanding also. Like I said, I have no question that its more me than the motor.

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

That is exactly what I've found. I was running it rich and flying with it, I decided to tweak it a little more to clean it up and had gotten it pretty close to the right RPM's with the DLE tach. It seemed ok on the ground but once in the air it wouldn't calm down without sputtering. Next was a...

I am with you on this... I feel that the issue is more me than the motor. :megaroll:

Well mine is pretty new and has only a gallon through it. I wanted to get my 'feet wet' with a smaller motor, but we don't have enough support around here to ask anyone for help with tuning. Really, I don't think it's the motor, its the lack of being properly tuned by its operator! If its true...

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

Are you suggesting that 50cc and larger is less headache? I bought a DLE20 for the simple purpose of learning gas and it has been a bear for me to get tuned. I have read and tried all the different how to's on tuning, but have not had great luck. I have been thinking of 'throwing in the...

    Discussion powerlab 6 & 8

Yours setup is exactly as needed. You won't have to toggle between FMA and XH mode if you are using the FMA board as the FMA board is already wired for the conversion needed. I use the software and it is awesome! I did't think I'd use them either, but the graphs are pretty handy too.

Subtrim vs. Programmer for Centering Servos

I would think there has to be a happy-medium...between two hours and time elapsed?
