I wouldn't be a very good rep of Hitec if I didn't know the product inside and out :D

    H9 15cc Carbon Cub

I'm betting that really thin section of the cowl between the intake and the muffler will eventually crack. I'd reinforce the inside of it with some fiberglass at least to strengthen it up. Also I agree with the permatex, Terry Wiles did a really good video on how to make the gasket from that...

Your powers of observation serve you well. They are actually the same servo, the only difference between the HSB-9360, 70, and 80 is 2 gears inside of them that change the speed of the output shaft. Since we are out of stock on 9380's, I just got a 9370 and changed the 2 gears inside of it to...

I just added a thin washer to 3 of the mounting standoffs between the engine and the standoff, the spinner is just ever so slightly off center if you REALLY look for it, but otherwise it's unnoticeable. I also added my 2nd rudder servo, still waiting on SWB arms from NorthWest RC (actually USPS).

More stick time on the Edge yesterday. I let an old school TOC guy take the sticks for a minute to see what he thought, said it needs more right thrust and a little up thrust so I will shim the engine a little to the right and a little to the up- the CG itself is nearly dead nuts. Also, the...

Finished up the rudder linkages this morning since I have the day off. I know one rudder servo seems like it's not enough but there's 2 things about these servos, 1. They don't blow back, they simply stop moving if the load becomes too great, and 2. They have a constant torque that...

SO the rudder got a little bit more in depth than I really wanted it to on the Edge. I thought I'd just be able to glue 2 horns into the left side of the rudder and call it good. Well the new horns I ordered were not the same as the original horns so off they came along with all of the wood...

    SOLD! HS-M-7990TH (2) and HS-7980TH (6) servos

I have 2 HS-M7990TH and 6 HS-7980TH servos I want to sell. They all have approximately 25-30 flights on them, they are still in like-new condition. I'd like to sell all 8 of these for $650 SHIPPED with the 2" SWB arms. If I have to sell each one individually then I'm asking $90 each with arm...

Last night I got to work on setting up my Edge for pull-pull on the rudder. That meant loping off the additional control horn I installed and carving out the slot for the new horn (the original horn was glued 95% the way through the rudder). Took 30 seconds to cut the horn I added off with a...

Already committed to going pull-pull, the airplane really needs more weight up front anyways :way_to_go:

I already tried that, that's how it was originally setup. The entire linkage geometry was perfect, so long as I didn't use any down elevator at all, because it would hit the linkage.

It has 2 servo boxes, but both are in the exact same location, one per side of the fuselage. Look at the stabs too, yours are sitting a lot higher than mine.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Something is definitely different than mine! I added the lower horn to try and correct the terrible geometry as best as I could but it looks like the entire setup was doomed from the start. From what I gather, it looks like your elevator is set in the fuselage a lot higher than mine is which...

If you've ever worked on a Chevy with a 4.3 V6 then you'll know exactly how it is to work on this engine because they are the same aside from some minor differences.

I have a dual SWB tray in my Yak and it's dead solid as far as centering goes. I think some of it comes from the servos needing to be sync'd to each other, as well as how tight the pulley setup is.

Woohoo this stupid thing lives again! Mental note: don't read the instructions included with your new parts, because they tell you the wrong firing order :oblong: If there was ever a reason as to why men don't read the directions, this is it :D:rolleyes:

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

The way the rudder servo pocket was designed into the tail did not account for the position of the elevator relative to the position of the rudder horn. So when I gave it down elevator, the elevator hit the rudder linkage. I had to change the whole linkage setup to get it to work properly but...
