Post your servo, receiver, and battery setups

I may end up programming my aileron servos and running a Y harness on them to free up 2 channels. Would be a cleaner install. I may also fit a Y onto the rudder servos and program them for perfect geometry as well to free up an additional channel for an electronic ignition kill.

Been thinking more and more lately that I need to put this 100CC edge together instead of leaving it in the box. Have 2, 100CC toys, will need that trailer!!

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I may have to get a locking cabinet to lock my tools inside of. Maybe that'll keep them from walking off. :D

Post your servo, receiver, and battery setups

Interesting discussion in another thread about our electronics setups. Being that Hitec is limited to 9 channels, we have to use certain workarounds with 100cc+ airplanes in order to make our setups work properly without having to resort to using power or servo expansion components. Interested...

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

Servos are partially hand assembled which is why the splines do not center exactly the same. That is why you have to use either a servo programmer or sub trim in your transmitter in order to get them to be perfectly neutral. Which centerpoint are you using in the programmer? I'm assuming you're...

I try to do this as desperately as I can, however it always seems that someone goes in there and takes tools and never returns them... :cautious:

    Power systems/ Hitec A9?

A 'powersafe' style receiver with a heavy duty BUS inside and dual input leads is something that has come across our radar and could possibly be something in the works since there seems to be a demand for it, but I'm not aware of anything actually being considered as an addition to our receiver...

Past few nights have been dabbling with getting my basement tidied up to neatly fit the 100cc in there. Considering making room for a second 100cc

We've had team pilots use them before, you shouldn't have any issues whatsoever! :)

How much expo for maiden flight

The Hitec 7xxx series servos have a resolution of 2048, the 8xxx have 4096- these numbers don't mean anything if your system operates on a regular 1024 resolution as you won't see anything but 1024 steps in the stick movement. For IMAC, if you're using long 3D arms, you may not be satisfactory...
