    48" Extra 300 EXP

I've found it's easier to learn from others mistakes because it's cheaper that way LOL!! I myself tend to fly down to about 3.8v/cell, seems to make the packs last a lot longer, plus if I wind up putting the battery away for the week, it's already at a storage voltage.

Toledo Show - Times they are a changing....

That's a big part of it too. Manufacturers have a budget that they have to work with every year, and they have to divide that budget up and pick and choose which shows they want/can afford to go to. With certain aspects of the hobby driving customers away from manufacturers towards new...

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

Yup. Bought it last February but didn't pick it up until July, so little less than a year. When I got it, it only had about 10 flights on it, the previous owner set it up as an electric so I kept it the same with the same power system. Some of you may know the kid, goes by the name of Ryan...

Toledo Show - Times they are a changing....

I agree, it seems like shows are starting to become a thing of the past. We used to have the MWE (Mid Winter Electrics) event down here in San Diego every year in May at the Silent Electric Flyers of San Diego club- it was big. I remember seeing many big name pilots (Leseberg, Jesky, Archer to...

Discussion Advice from those in the know...

May I ask why the switch from Hitec to Savox? I would take a peek at the 70" Aerobeez Slick. Most say it can't do precision but it stops when you stop moving the sticks- don't know what's more precise than that? I'm getting anxious to put mine up in the air...

My current generator (not inverter, it's unregulated) makes about 650 watts at peak, and it's plenty for my charger. I'm only charging 10 amps per channel, 20 amps total, 500 watts max. An 800w inverter generator would be plenty for me.

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

Don't know about other brands, but this is not the case with Hitec brushless servos- the motor inside is so overpowered that it barely sweats to make its full torque value. And when it gets to its holding point, the power needed to move drops significantly as it is only using what it needs to...

Why do you use HV and / or why don't you?

Yup, those are rock solid servos. The buzzing is normal, it's just the servo keeping center with the weight of the surface pushing against it. Like I said earlier, before you call hitec, contact me first so I can advise you on what may be up with your setup. Minimal Load Jitter will not be...
