Here's my next project. H9 Carbon cub 15cc. Putting Savox 0254mg digital servos in, RCGF 21cc twin, redwing 16x8 wood/white prop, Kavan 5" balloon wheels, 7ch futaba receiver, tech aero IBEC, and that's all I have for now. Man the struts, wing tube, and landing gear are metal... A lot of...

That makes sense, I'm figuring the 35-55cc are roughly burning 1oz/min. So with a 16oz tank you'll run dry in about 15min, with a 12min timer you'll have 3oz of reserve. That my educated guesstimate. Ha

So redwing wheels off gravel runways look like this after a couple gallons. This is my third set. Why I keep buying them one might ask? I still like how light they are and how they perform... And they cost $6 for a pair. But ya the hard outer crust gets eaten away pretty quick on gravel...

Wow man. I'll admit I bought one foamy plane from them... It looked fun... But it flew like a wounded duck without feathers. I'll never buy planes, engines, servos, ect from them. With that said... They have cheap LiPo's which is nice.

Official 3DRCF Review of EME 55V2 and accessories from Mile High RC

Gotcha! I've thought about putting thin foam strategically in the fuselage to keep the airframe from eating itself with resonant vibrations. I've seen the same thing done with full scale airplanes in addition to insulation.

Good Update Bipenut ! I like the full length engine run and tuning. So I've heard that it's good practice to put the wings on during a ground run for a single cyl gasser for vibration dampening - is this a myth or just with the smaller gassers?

Baffling the Cowl I bought 6mm and 3mm craft foam from Joan's Fabric, as long as it isn't too close to the exhaust or cooling fins it wont melt. The general purpose of doing this is so that the air moving through the cowl's opening is kept/directed around the cooling fins and exhaust port of...

Thanks for the input. I'm thinking about changing back to 91 and using a 2gal jug instead of my 1gal baby. Ok so without too much controversy what are you guys using for oil/fuel ratio? I've been doing 32:1 but I hear a lot of folks using 40:1? I get a little (tiny bit) oily residue coming out...
