The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

That is Squaw Lake Campground in Arizona. Beautiful place to be, would definitely make a nice environment for float flying but when the winds come up it get crazy :oblong:

    Favorite connectors

Anderson Power Poles are very popular and they definitely seem to work well for most people. If you like them then use them, that's what I have to say. I tried them and was so unimpressed with them that I deposited all of the APP's and crimper tool into someone elses donation bin for them to...

Went to the river instead of flying, should have brought a foamy with me at least :oblong: Saturday was awesome, weather in the mid 90's, slight breeze, water was cool. Sunday was a total blowout with 15mph+ wind

Yessir, I would have settled for nothing less (except maybe a DA200 and that's just for audio purposes only ;) ). What propellers do you have?

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Should be around 700 oz/in at 8.4v, yeah I think she should do well. Seems like it always takes forever to gather parts!! I still need prop, mufflers, batteries, a switch for ignition...

Correct. I fly very slowly, I think one on each elevator should be sufficient ;)

7980'S on Ailerons and Elevators, 7990 on Rudder (since we're out of stock of 7980's now...).

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Yup, that's the intention. I have a similar setup on my 35% Pilot Yak, hopefully I won't need to go to a 3 aileron servo setup on this airplane otherwise that means having to change to a bigger connector.

Made A extension for the 45% wing panel, now need to make a second. I opted to make my own so I could customize the length, used our own 22awg 80 strand count wire. Should handle the load no problem :)

Hey depending on the length of the airplane, that engine could be 10 ft up from the rudder LOL!

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

It takes 10 seconds to put it in which can save you a lot of headache, I don't even cut the Tygon I just slide the brass inside of it. It's more of a safety precaution kind of thing so it doesn't invert itself right before you pull into a hover and starve the engine 5ft. from the deck ;)

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

I just noticed this... Make sure you get a piece of brass tube inside of that pickup clunk in there, otherwise it might invert on you!!

    NEW Servos

Hi guys. The D-840WP, D-845WP, HS-1005SGT, and HS-1100WP are all 1/4 scale size servos, made for either really big airplanes, or 1/5 scale cars and boats. Probably won't work so well in most of our airplanes, they're quite a big bigger than standard sized servos.
