The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Repairs completed other than some light sanding with 400 then 600 grit papers and I can buff and wax and it will be almost not visible.

Had to do a little repair on my dlg after a dumbass moment yesterday. Buddy offered me to fly his brand new BAMF dlg. Third flight I was ending up a little short on landing and totally missed that my dlg was in the way. Caught the te of the aileron on mine with the bottom le of the vertical on...

I played with fire today as well. Just in the fire pit though to cook some burgers for the wife and I. No better way to cook a burger than over a good wood fire. Also got tired of my foot slipping on the clutch and brake pedals in my truck when it’s wet at as the rubber pads have been gone for a...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Crrc pro 26cc. Hardest part I have seen with towing so far is the initial start. When we towed my buddies 100” windfree with my little tundra it struggled with getting the glider to start moving but once it was airborne it took very little to stay up. I was around 1/4 throttle and he was still...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Yes it has. Plane needs a cowl and canopy. Im gonna get it flying first though to make sure it will do the job. Ifso then I will order a new cowl and canopy and strip the plane down to make it pretty.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Special delivery from @49dimes. Should power the 1/4 scale cub just fine and hopefully have enough grunt to tow a scale 124” span glider behind it. Plenty of room in the cowl and the classic style props are just killer looking.

Put together a test station for when I'm training new guys at work. Most come from construction and know nothing about a machine control circuits. This way I can get them to draw up circuits first then actually build them to see it work.

What kind of things was he claiming. DLA though is one of the many out there that is basically a knock off of a dle.

Scale 1/3 Scale Extra 330L Build.

I've never used straight ammonia to bend the sheeting just always used real windex that has ammonia in it and it works great. straight ammonia may work even better though. Fuse looks great and hope you figure out the cowl issue.

Scale 1/3 Scale Extra 330L Build.

Well that’s no good. Just a thought maybe it was made that way to provide an air exit on the bottom without having to cut holes. May be way wrong on that and don’t think it would exactly look wall that great but just a thought.

On the OS 22 it tunes just fine. I say rear exhaust for the tbm just for how narrow the cowl is. From the one my buddy has I feel the side of the cowl would need to be cut to even get a Pitts style muffler on it but I could be wrong. I have yet to own one but all my Probro buddies that have had...

I still like just a good old dle20 and for that TBM I would go with the rear exhaust version. Some of the probros are in love the the OS 22. I have flown it and yes it makes a little more power but not worth the extra cost IMHO.

Yup. I see myself towing up my buddies big ass scale glider then after the release just doing silly 3D stuff while he is catching thermals.
