    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

From now on for me any 40 size slab of larger will get sheeted on at least one side of the stab.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

He has had this kit for a while. Plans are available for it for those that want to scratch build it. The guy that used to cut the kits has talked about do kit runs of the swanny kits every so often though.

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

I have never built the 65 but I would suggest sheeting both sides and opening the fuse up a little more. It adds a tremendous amount of strength. I had My mojo40 get serious flutter when doing a cash drop one day of the entire stab not just the elevator. Before I could slow down the entire right...

Sport JTEC RADIOWAVE 26% Pitts Model 12

And you really need to see the profile I built mike in person. The orange and purple look good in the pictures but in person it is so much better. Was my first experience using ultracote and I didn't wanna give the plane up after I finished covering it.

Sounds about right that the Chevy was following the Ford. LOL. Seriously it's a shame though when two classics get hurt but looks like y'all did a great job on the repairs.

It uses a single for the elevator but I could use two pretty easily as it has two control rods coming back to a single servo. Ailerons each get their own servo.

Lol I had planned to run them on the rudder and ailerons as I have three of them and the hitec in the pic will go on the elevator. I did have two 517's and I took the second out of commission as it had a mind of its own and when you brought the stick back to center it would sometimes make full...

Might I ask what went wrong with them? I ran all these for ten minutes last night on my servo tester and didn't see any glitches or anything but I would like to know what you had happen.

After working on Christmas gifts for a while I got out an ARF that a club member had given me as he realized the wing loading was a little higher than he could handle. It's a Pheonix Models Strega 40 size with a 55" wingspan. First up is fitting the engine. Using an old os 50sx heli engine...

Next little gift for the wife is done and they are sitting on a big ass picture frame I'm making to go with a world map she has been wanting.

Thank you. I'm happy with how it turned out. The one I saw had little antennas sticking out the front as well but I liked it better without them and they would have made it harder to use as well.

All done. To get the look I was going for which is still seeing the wood grain through the finish I just used some water and green food coloring. Worked like a charm.

No airplane work for a bit. Gotta get some things built for the wife for Christmas. First up is turning an old stapler into a grasshopper stapler. All the wood is from an old 2x4. Just used my jointer to make two side nice flat and square to one another and then ripped a bunch of 1/8" wide...

Looking good bud. Menace does and awesome job cutting these kits.

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

I would think going with 1/4-20 hardware you would be fine just tapping the wood and wouldn't need any blind nuts in it.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Look in the I'm going out flying thread I have two videos posted there. Reason I went with sheeted foam fuse is pretty much any slab I have seen over 20cc size and even some of the 20cc ones have hella tail twist when rolling. Just really no way to stiffen up a built up surface enough when there...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

So yall may have seen my videos of this flying yesterday in the I'm going out flying thread but figured I would post some pics over here of the plane coming together and some basic specs. All built up surfaces with a sheeted foam fuse. 81" wingspan 76" length from tip of rudder to tip of prop...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Been a while since I did any posting but here are a couple videos of my newest design and scratch build. 55cc edge profile. I'm loving it so far but need to get more time on a calm day and need some stronger servos on the ailerons.
