Timber 110" Twin Build
I have a post in the other thread about weights. With my setup (DLE55, xcub gear, and 8.75” PRs), Empty 20.7# no struts/slats/fuel/batteries) CG 5.125” Loaded 22.3# Everything installed including gas, struts, batteries, slats resting in place. CG 5" (didn't change as much as I thought it would).- AKNick

91" SkyWing ARS 300 Assembly Thread
They make a beautiful tailwheel. I need something with some give to it due to my rocky/nasty terrain. The spring wire titanium is appealing. Edit: The J&J Tailwheels are for 35-42% planes. so the 120cc range, probably too much for my 50-70cc airframe?- AKNick

I’ve been a little slow repairing my wingtip. But it’s done. No it’s not pretty... but it’ll work pretty good. I’m too cheap to source matching paint. Sanded down the wingtip to expose the fiberglass. It was a pretty clean break which tells me that the wingtip was made in halves. It cracked else...- AKNick

91" SkyWing ARS 300 Assembly Thread
Couple more flights on the ARS. Temps seemed to keep cooler staying under 330F, even with some WOT shenanigans. Timer is a little off, but that’s 15 honest minutes of flying. I wanted to see what the inside of the rudder looked like.... OK OK OK, naw, I screwed up. I had to call it quits...- AKNick

3DHS 75" EDGE 540 V2 Assembly Thread
Took the edge up for a couple more flights on the DA35. Love the power, love the flight times. Removed the wheels and wheel pants, installed some 3.5” FlyWheelz. For sure! The real estate to work with inside a larger airframe spoils you. It’s easier to modify and the planes seem more predictable the larger they are. I’ve thought about designing my own sprung gear like Mike Patey did on his scrappy build. But I would like to have a tig welder for that...- AKNick
