The indiana Flyers Club and the Murrysville Area RC club flew demonstration flights both yesterday and today at the Jimmy Stewart airshow at the Jimmy Stewart Airport located in Indiana PA. I get my prints at Staples, I think they can print any size you want, reasonable price as well, not as cheap as printing at work but close. Small price to pay for retirement!!!!

I already had the colors on hand from a previous build and have no way to cut vinyl. Since I retired my time is free!!!

Finally got the clear on. The next time I will paint the strips first, then the white and right to clear. I wasted a lot of time masking each strip. Glue in the side window and windshield and give them a clear coat and final assembly can begin.

Once you make and use a glass tube, you never go back to phenolic tubes. They fit so much better.

This is a fiberglass fuselage, so there is no wood involved. I used a white base primer then dusted on self etch green spray bomb primer and and proceeded to sand my brains out. The layup is very lightweight so sanding on the flat areas where there are no former was a problem, couldn't push on...

Today the white base coat was applied after a day of guide coat wet sanding. May get the yellow strip on tomorrow if things go according to plan. Thankfully the yellow, orange and red Monokote matching base coat paints are still good. I believe I bought the colors in 2005!

It was a car I always wanted, V8 Vega. When I drive it today most people don't have a clue what it is. The engine install was rather easy, I used stock Monza mounts for the engine, had to move the transmission mount back a couple of inches to get the T56 in. With the 12 point cage and...

It is a 1971 Vega with a 1996 LT1, T56, Ford 9" rear. I quit flying RC some 21 years ago to build it. I was going real well until I could not find a windshied then lost interest in getting it painted. Found a glass about 9 years ago, logged 2300 street miles since then. It's not a race car.

The fuselage will be painted like the advertisement from 1986 High Flight magazine. Throw back less the pinstripes.

Didn't use the Byronfoam wings or tail parts, the wings are foam rib design with plywood joiners that lap a former in the fuselage. The tail parts are balsa sheeted foam cores. Using a Valley View 40 twin for power, Hitec servos, and Frsky radio.

Well I set the Champ aside for the time being and got the first coat of primer on the Glasair. I use a 1/2" pipe with the flange on one end to hold and rotate the fuslage and cowl. The flange is bolted to the engine mount, there is a wood donut supporting the cowl at the spinner opening. The...

With the split ailerons, do you really need to have the servos matched dead nuts over the entire span? I have had great success with the XPS 10X channel expander, I'm sure the X24 will do a great job for you.
