    Roger, I cut my socket holes with the same bow that i cut the wings, my jig boards bolt together and both socket holes are cut together. I glue the tubes in and install the wing tube while the top of the wings are built. Just food for thought.

    I have had trouble with aluminum templates in the past, raising the voltage will heat up the rest of the wire as well making the rest of the too hot.     I would center the holes as suggested and use the jig. I remember using that style jig on the Great Planes trainer 40 many years ago, more than 30 as I think back. Getting old!

    The wings were redesigned to reduce weight, the wings were foam ribbed using 1/8" plywood joiners that lapped a bulkhead inside the fuselage. Four #8 cap screws joined the wings. Each complete wing weighted 1# 10 ounce completed, of course it didn't work! I would image if I made the joiners...

    A 3W 56 twin fits nicely inside the cowl, used KS ss tube to locate the exhaust in the scale location. I may get this one painted someday!

    Went ahead and did the RF Buzz and No Click mods to the second main board. This went much smoother than first one, no rework required! Don't know if it will ever be used but I have a spare, with 64 model capability there's no need for another radio.
