it isn't the multi-posting at different sites that triggered this but the lack of responses to those of you that posted in reply to his updates and his post in another thread redirecting traffic to FG. i have to draw the line somewhere and today it's here.
As a plumber 30+ years into his career I can appreciate a good solder job when I see one. You could solder the copper 2 hole strap to the pipe now that you know where it all goes.

To remove my copper pipes I need to rotate them back and forth to rock them off of the Moki pipes. If I was to silver solder the straps on I would have to completely remove the engine from the firewall to get my pipes off. For this reason I chose not to attach the straps permanently to the pipes.

Actually I am fortunate that the fit is so snug between the steel Moki pipe and my copper fitting as it should severely retard any leakage.
Ahh. Good point.

So is the problem the link to another site or lack of response to this thread?

i've been thinking about this all day and took a phone call from another member that messaged me about it.

i looked at his other activity at the site and it's minimal so he's registered but not really spending any time at the site. the link i came across wasn't part of a constructive comment, it was done in a way that was disrespectful to the thread it was in and showed no real interest in participating here.

he's not banned, maybe i could have handled this differently, but we're not here to give people a platform to promote other sites or themselves at our expense. if that's what i'm supposed to be providing everyone by being here every day maintaining the site then i'm in the wrong business.

thanks for the question!

And here I thought all plumbers had to know was "Hot goes on the left, cold goes on the right, and crap flows downhill". :). So I'm a sparky and just had to do it.

Electricians have it worse. Sparky, shocktrician, sir sparks alot, electron plumber, shock absorber, etc.

TOMORROW THE DAY OF RECONING

With the reluctance of my wife I took over the living room so that tomorrow I can do the balance check on the plane. Outer wings go on tomorrow.

I will be using three weigh scales to determine it's current CG and then do what is necessary to have it balance correctly.

I like 'em "BIG"!
It's FINISHED!

I have done the CG check and I am 3/8 of an inch back from the recommended proper CG.

I plan on having a brass front spinner made so that I can get the CG moved forward.

That is one big plane. Just up my alley.
I helped my friend fire up his big P47 yesterday with the Mok-ster 250 up front. Holy crap, what a sound. Nothing like a Moki radial up front purring and yanking you across the garage like a rag doll. :way_to_go: You're going to love that plane. Keep us posted on the maiden.

GOOD BYE

Now that the Harvard is done, I'll stop posting on this site. It was mentioned that I don't post to comments, I made a bad remark and I post on other sites.

I went back and I cannot find any post that I said bad things about Giant Scale. How about posting my offending comments.

I am NOT a 3D flyer so it's hard for me to jump in on a daily basis to make any type of comment. I did comment when something was said about my build WHEN I knew what to say! The purpose of me posting was to learn from others if they were to see a mistake in my building technique, or offer an alternate way around a problem. I also hoped to help others learn from my techniques and mistakes.

Of the 4 sites that I posted on, this site had the least views, so in my opinion if I want to gather the best advice I have to go everywhere to find the masters in building.

But oh well, my life to too short to be worried that I have offended some of you. So long.

Brian
