Well one more job done, the ignition and IBec support is in. Now I have to sheet the front section from the windshield to the firewall that will take some time and a lot of steam and ammonia. Fill have make nice big hatch in the front so I can at least get my hands inside to service the motor mount and the ignition.

Was going strip the engine and canisters to do the balsa work on the front. But the canisters were in and so I thought just finish off the canister exit holes before stripping everything out. Just needs a little cleanup and it will work.

Just cannot believe it just keep adding stuff into the plane but it needs it. It is so hard to save weight and get weight out of a plane.

Made a little progress today nothing glued in just put together to see how things fit and how to make the hatch work and big enough so that maintenance can be done. I always seem to make hatches to small.

Well the top beck is on a lot shaping and fitting around the edge. It’s in not as smooth as I would like but I am leaving it as is. The bals wood has hard and soft parts and the wood bends differently over the different hardness. The balsa wood we get now days is not good, and heavy, but it is what it is.

Well this took all day, and only one side done. Sheeting the front section. In the picture you see the sheeting going from a right angle to a radius at the firewall. Trust me that gave me some difficulties and a lot measuring and cutting. To get this to work and look good took some effort. Only bad thing is I have to do it all again tomorrow for the other side.
