New Product 120cc Pitts Challenger

Just spoke with Chief and was told it will not be in until the end of the year or after. I guess Pilot is jumping the gun to get us excited.
I then sent an email to Pilotrc-usa inquiring about availability.

Pilotrcusa says they will have them by the end of October. Being as I can't jump right on one I suppose it would be best to just take some time and get the one on the bench sanded and covered. I may actually be getting back to a somewhat normal life by the end of Sept anyway. But it was a fun thought!

I love radials . . . . but never new Lycoming produced radials for the Pitts . . . would certainly be unique to put a radial in this bird . . .

Pilot has posted the cowl dimension you know were. Looks like the 150 will fit it is tight but it seems to fit. I am excited. Now I have get in touch with DA and see if they can put my 150 on a diet and by how much.

I have not heard of, or seen any, cowl measurements. I would imagine being it is a 100cc airframe listed as 100-120 that a 120 would probably be about it's limit but that is just an assumption. Send them an email and ask?

For those interested, I ran across this and thought I would share. Pilot RC 120cc Pitts with GP 123. Wow, that thing is amazing.
