Ditto I prefer someone who speaks their mind and says what the mean to say vs what they think will politically correct or more acceptable to a wider audience. Fun thing about life is we all are allowed to for our own opinions.

This is a great forum that seems to let things work themselves out without being over sensored

Looking at the big picture, whats it really matter. I always look at the positive in anything. Lets say it the support gets worse or something else. Theres always other manufacterers out there willing to get your business. I have been stuck on aeroworks since i have been flying but i recently bought a pau edge. I knew the pau would be a good plane but when I had good luck with aeroworks why change? I mentioned in an earlier post i never owned a 3dhs plane but i did own one that i bought new and assembled it but never flew it. It was built OK but ive seen better

clarkj Hang on a sec... from one proud Aeroworks owner to another, what exactly do you mean when you say your 3DHS was just ok even though you didn't fly it? I loved mine, but you gotta fly the thing to know how good it is right?

image.jpgI cant get into arf warbirds. The guy that runs our club knows warbirds well and builds with coverite and paints them. I want a corsair sooo bad and he says a ultracote covered one is not scale with shiny covering. After seeing his 1/3 scale pup I cant make myself buy a warbird with covering. I wish i wasnt so picky on that kind of stuff. I biught a rtc top flite mustang and that when i learned theres alot to fiberglassing one. Needless to say i sold it before i got it glassed. Wish i had kept it now. If i had the time to devote to building one that would be about all i would fly.

Im a bit curious what you thought was not so good about the quality on your old 3DHS.

Well for me other then the black covering... my slick has been pretty slick (pun intended) for nearly 1000 flights. Pushing a old design to over 3000W that was originally designed for 1800-2200 watts. Flies awesome too.

Stringers on the fuse sides were too long and it looks like instead of cutting them to length they were crooked. All of the hinges were supposed to be sealed and some werent.... I hope since they forgot to seal thise they disnt forget any glue joints. And on the bottom cowl screws they wanted to put a wood screw in to hold the cowl on instead of using a blind nut

My 3000w slick has nearly 1000 flights with wood screws holding the cowl on...never a issue. Only surface that came sealed was wings and others weren't glued. Never had any 3DHS bigger then the 71" slick, but my flying buddy has been happy with 3 of their 100ccers. I finally talked him into EF and he has a 91 and 104 extra almost ready for maiden. He also flies a older pau 100cc edge and hasn't considered one for some time and doesn't give Aeroworks a chance because of their weight.
