3D 3DHS/Extreme Flight Family - 91" Yak 55 - Black

just a gentle pinch with pliers is the best method. Dont need a lot...start with a little and increase ever so slightly if you need more.
Works like a charm

with the pilot arms and maximum throws without binding i get a good amount of travel, not crazy but looks plenty for this aircraft.

45 degrees seems to be plenty on mine, typically I like a lot of elevator on most of my planes, 55-65 degrees often. But I toned it down on this plane to about 45 and am happy there. I think I have 2" arms on the elevators of mine.

I'd say with 1.75in arms I'm bang on 45deg with maxed out throws. End points are at 135% I guess 2in arms would allow me to drop that back to normal end points but I think it will be fine.

actually cranking the endpoints up to 130-140 is ideal for servo resolution and feel, so I wouldn't change a thing! I'll have to look at my radio and see where mine wound up...

Sorry for the slow build guys, its been hectic in my house, working 7am till 6pm and its a mentally draining job so I can't find the energy to do any building when I'm home

I did get some work done though, I had to beef up the firewall a touch to pass AU's heavy model criteria so I used 3mm aircraft grade ply and hysol'd a plate onto the front of the firewall with some carbon square tube top and bottom to brace, will get a photo soon, and I did get around to dry fitting the DA70 on the beast this weekend though, doing my usual mistake of drilling in the wrong place... where did i leave that dowel LOL

but once i drilled properly it looks good, I just need to adjust the mount thickness to match the cowl, I'm considering not having a spinner on this bad boy but will decide after its all mounted up, I need about 1/2" more space on the mount to get it to line up
