I'll reiterate my initial advice. Find a used DX7 and you'll be set for a while.

Could not agree more! I've so much value out of mine and I see almost no reason to replace it...
I don't know.......you could always upgrade to a DX8 and pass it on to me haha just kidding. Idk where ill find a used DX7 though.

IMHO, if you can save a buck or two on a motor, you should take that and apply to your radio budget. "By the best radio you can afford" is a piece of advice I've seen over and over again. And it's true. Motors and airframes come and go, but a good radio stays with you for years.
