I had a momentary lack of concentration while doing rollers about waist high. Got upside down on my timing lol. That is the first pilot error crash (of a balsa plane) I have had since I crashed my 51 slick last spring. It is repairable... I just have to get the gumption to start the repairs.

getting ready to setup my edge. was wondering what degrees on control throws you are using on ailerons, elev. and rudder. im using a dx8 with triple rates.

also what are some thing i need to look out for between flights, pre-maintenance stuff i.e check pull-pull cables, battery tray etc?

anything else i may need to know or "gotchas" before i maiden?

I used a DX8 on mine, had a "holy ****" rate, which was every bit of throw I could get without killing the servos, a "high rate" (~45°elevator, 35° aileron), and low rates were about 20° and 15°. Rudder was full throw on all rates, just more expo on low rates.

yea i was looking in the manual and thought their high rates were allil low. and like you i planned on have rudder maxxed on all rates. thats how ive been flying my TH edge. and thats about how i have my high rate on it 45 elevator 35 aileron.

i bought it already built from a guy i dont really know. so i didnt know if there was anything else i may need to check over. CA on certain areas i.e motor box etc or anything else i may wanna look at. i got my Osiris already built also but got it from Gyro so im not too worried about it.

maybe the battery tray also?

since i have the dx8, probably best to get rid of the Pheolnic (sp?) arm on the elevator also, right.

ok ok i have a noob question, can i take the wheel pants off? i want to put on alil bigger wheels. i dont have a well groomed flying field, i do have a concrete pad we use as a runway but i was wanting to learn harrier landings in the grass first.

im also gonna try to trim with a dremel the top of the fairings, where they meet the fuse. i could see those jammin in the fuse on a hard landing. just alil bit, just to give me alil space between the top of the fairing and the fuse. think thatll work?
