Scale 50% Dalotel 165

today after gluing some wood spars on the Dalotel junior, while waiting for the glue to dry, I started cutting aluminum and the brass insert for sliding the lower strut into the upper strut.

finished with the landing gear bushings, which are slightly oversized, since aluminum expands faster then bronze, it was just a matter of heating the aluminum tube and sliding the bushings in place, they are not going anywhere...

Its a simple Craftex lathe , works good and thanks for the comments....

cut the slots in the strut and tack weld to the bottom

I will be testing it , and if I am not satisfied, then I will seek a professional to tig weld everything

The airplane will weigh between 80 and 90 lbs so the gear has to witstand much more then this when landing, and no I don't grease all the landings LOLOL
