Thanks Roger. I kinda figured the wood one was temporary. Do you have any idea on the weight of a wood, vs welded tubing motor mount? Of course once it's done I suppose we'll all find out, eh!

good question, anad I don't know if I will really know since I haven't made a proper wood mount that I could actually use, but I think it might be very similar or the metal tube might even come out a bit lighter

engine mount welding done, not the nicest looking but strong, trial fitting and then to clean it up and paint

replacing the hinges hold down nuts with aluminum plates which is secured with wood screws on the inside
