Interesting! I never knew that the Dalotel was a real plane. Just figured it was an original design back when it was winning pattern championships.



Why the round dowel for the fuselage side trusses? Trying to mimic a steel tube structure or just your preferred method?

Bart. the round dowels is to replicate the steel tubing fuselage. I am making this as scale as I possibly can, for a major contest.

I obtained all the drawings including sketches from Michel Dalotel, who designed it and build it in the late '60s. By working with the full size drawings, I simply redesigned everything half scale.
