Ya its working out great, now for the rear canopy LOL then the wind shield,
with the amount of work, I'm started to think ARF , hmmm nooooooooo

I've been absent from your build thread for some time. Summer flying and other stuff seems to always interfere huh? I found my way back and am not at all surprised at the really cool "tech-y" stuff you've done. This is still the best "scale" build I have ever seen. I can't wait to see it done. How exciting that will be.

Thank you for your kind words, yes flying when the weather is good is always a priority. I have done a lot of flying this year, but with a small (70" Extrea) testing the Aura 8 auto stabilizer, some telemetry sensors such as voltage of the main batteries, and airspeed with the proper pitot tube. All this will again be tested in the bigger 34% laser next spring which I have been working on in parallel with the Dalotel.
The reason for the voltage sensor is to be aware of the situation in the air to prevent disaster, As for the airspeed sensor, to learn the stall speed , then I can program an alarm as I am a few km/hour above that , In the Laser I will have a few more sensors to test such as heat sensors eventually for the engine cylinders on the Dalotel,
Anyway, retirement is the greatest thing ever for me (nearly 20 years)

two things today, made a mockup of the front plywood deck, and also a mockup of the windshield, cheaper and less work with the cardboard stock

so now the 1/32" plywood front deck is in , will not glue it, but rather simply use screws as seen in the photo, other photo, is the gas cap with fuel line retainer . not finished yet

as you can see here the rear part of the fuselage will not be paint primer like the rest, since it will not be seen by the judges, and this primer bluish is what I can see on the color photo of the full size . Also the top deck is painted semi gloss black with the fuel cap installed, not sure if I should have painted matt black
