Just pulled the trigger on one of these. Unloaded from the 3dhs Australia container yesterday and now on its way to me.

Hey guys, have a few questions. First off, have any of you had to use quite a bit of washers to space a dle 30 out to clear the cowl with a spinner. I started with adding one washer between the motor and the standoffs, and wound up with 3 washers on each standoff to clear the cowl.

Also, this is more of a request, but can somebody post a picture of their throttle servo location/setup with a dle 30. I have mine mounted on it's side in the motorbox area, and it is a pain in the arse to make any adjustments to the linkage, I would like to move it to the slot in the bottom of the motorbox right behind the firewall, but not sure how to set the linkage to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wade, I don't recall putting any spacers in, but my cowl is VERY close to the prop, maybe only 1-2mm.
I have my throttle servo mounted in the bottom slot. You can see the linkage has a small bend to help the angles.

Thanks Gyro. I don't know on the spacing either. I tried with no spacers, and my spinner rubbed the cowl. I then took the spinner off thinking maybe it would help to run without and the prop rubbed on it. Put in one washer, still rubbed. Do you have any washers between the firewall and the standoffs, I see that some people run a fender washer on the front and the rear of the firewall.

I'd have to take off the cowl to look. I honestly don't remember putting one in, just the washer on the back side of the firewall. I don't suspect you're doing any harm with them, so if you've got the spacing you need, run with it.

If you want to get really fancy, hit up customstandoffs.com, and Craig can make you a set at any length you'd like :)

Gyro, Do you have a picture that shows how you have your linkage set up on the throttle end? Using that slot in the bottom of the motorbox looks like it would be a lot more convenient than where I have mine mounted currently.

I'll see if I can get a shot through one of the cowl openings tomorrow. I'd prefer not to take it apart, so I'll try to peak inside first.
