Actually, it was more than that. The "neck" (I'm sure it has a name) of the crank case leading up to the prop hub was cracked. The material was very thin, so it was an accident waiting to happen. The v2 crank case is much thicker. Mike at ibcinyoyrc fixed it under warranty and upgraded it to a v2 crank case, so all is well now!

i use it. no problems in 50 flights plus bec pros on a bunch of other planes in this size never a problem knock on wood

Well yeah, a LiFe, 1258TG's can't handle 2S, the circuitry can, the motor will burn up.

Didn't know what servos you had. I run my Savox SA-1258tg servos in my 72 on 6.6 just fine
