Great job! Glad you got it.

As far as reinforcement You can use a piece of angle stock and small bolts. Or you may be able to pin it with some 30 min epoxy.
Mine is bolted.

Thanks Gary.

If anyone needs anything let me know

Edited the post above with the pic.

If you go that route, I HIGHLY recommend Craig Morgan's (CMALA) business for Stand Offs:

www.customstandoffs.com

He's got plenty of experience helping people with great products at a reasonable price. Plus, he's got an easy to use website setup for ordering.

Are you making anything to assist folks with strapping the dle35 on the 3DHS 30cc planes? For a newb like me, modifying the motorbox was not fun and now I'm trying to figure out the best way to shore it up. I've got an extra to build too and wondered if there was another option with a custom standoff or something.

As for the edge. What do you guys think a about reinforcements from this

Josh I believe that will work. I'm not sure but I think my angle is 1/2" or maybe 5/8". But, the 3/4" will give you plenty of area to secure it with.

Oh, in my last post the Duh! Was for me leaving out that small detail. :)

One more question that came up while talking to NJSwede today... I looked at the install manual and not only does it say to use Push/Pull for DLE-30 (aka Gas) there is a different control horn. What do you think I should do with the edge which was built electric and has a Pull/Pull? I'd like to swap to Push/Pull but don't really think I want to dig out the control horn thats in there. Think thats ok?

When I converted from electric to gas on the Velox, I just left the electric pull-pull double horn in and added the gas horn to it, since it was in a different spot (lower) on the rudder. I don't have the manual handy, but maybe yours is the same as the Velox?

Exactly what I was just about to tell him.
