78'' Extra

I finally pulled the plug on the rest of the accessories I need to complete the build: Tonight I'm going to order five SAVOX 1270TG and I'll run them at 7.4 volts so I can get the 487.00in oz of torque. Also, I orderd five SWB servo arms (four @ 1.5 in and one 3.5 for the rudder). Servo extensions have been ordered too. I already have a Vess prop and a Smart FLy fiber optic kill switch.

Those are sweet servos... We're reviewing them right now in our 88" Edge. Very strong and fast!
Congrats!

I have those in my 110 Yak wings and 104 elevators! I think they will work in a 78. I though I was going overkill with 7955TGs. You have a great set of servos for a future 30-35% plane.

Hey guys. I got lucky yesterday and scored a 78" gasser from Extreme Flight. Could someone please tell me the servo extension lengths that I will need to complete the set up? Trying to get everything together before my VVRC 40 twin arrives! Thank you!

The manual calls out for two 36" extensions for the stab servos and two 12" extensions for the aileron servos. No mention of the throttle servo extension probably because it depends where you install it.

Thank you! I called myself skimming through the manual online but didn't see it. My bad.

gas version back in stock!
blue gas ones were briefly in stock yesterday, but sold out again very quickly. You sure about that? Page says sold out when you click on Buy Now from the main 78 page.
I ordered an electric one first thing this morning. Would have gotten a gas one yesterday if red ones were in stock, but no red. So I scored an electric red one today. Been missing the 78 for too long. Had to get me another one!

I got an email that said back in stock gas/glow but I didn't check on the site

I was quick on the trigger! From the time that I got the back in stock email till the confirm order button was about 10 seconds! got in on the VVRC 40 twin pre-order as well. I am geeked. This is my first gasser since I left the hobby about 25 years ago. Now I just have to make up my mind between Savox 1270's and Hitec 7955's. That being said can anyone tell me if the Savox servos have the jitters like the 7955's? I know the Savox 0255 on the elevator of my 48" Extra is a little jittery.

I only have one flight on the SV-1270tg so far, but no jitters. That said, I never have any jitters with my HS-7955tgs either
