Took her out for a spin today. Grass was about 6" long and I dorked the landing, but it performed amazingly well in the air.

DA70 rocks in this plane!!! Im just getting started covering new wings for mine with quad ailerons and new 93"+ wingspan. This was first try at this Freestyle and I kinda messed it up but been working on it. Hoping to do much better this year:

Flew mine this week end. I love this plane and it flies the IMAC with no problem. I might actually practice.

Nice flying Eric and Terry...great job on the scheme Eric and great job on the build Terry. I want to tint my canopy, but I don't want to settle for much less then the appearance of yours Terry. Thanks for starting the thread Eric. Anyways I had this bird setup electric with a motrolfly 5335-189 which was nice, but I'm happy to have the 91"er on a DA 70 now. This engine gets stronger with each flight. Only 2.25gals through now and if it didn't get any stronger I would still be happy.

Here is a short video showing the 91 in a few pull outs as well as a shot of it pulling the scale.
The motor started ripping the 24x9 today. Before motor was up to test start temp... it was pulling just over 42lbs on the scale. RPMs were virtually identical as the week before, but pulled almost 1.5lbs more with a start temp of 215°F on temp sensor. Only difference was the ambient temp was -6°F this week vs 26°F last week.
So I now have two data points:
Ambient temp 26°F, 6870RPMs, motor temp 215°F, steady 38.7lbs on fish scale.
Ambient temp -6°F, 6900RPMs, motor temp 215°F, steady 40lbs on the fish scale.
