Bill Hempels Team Edge still operating ?

Can you confirm if Bill Hempel sells the Super Cub kit any more. My patience is wearing thin with trying to contact him. I really would like to have one of his 40% Cubs but it looks like I might have to settle for a World models 1/3 scale one. With my research on large scale Cubs it looks to be the largest ARF kit available. Can someone please assist me?

Hi Dave,

We built a 1/3 scale World Models Super Cub here for a banner towing plane to bring to Joe Nall. The World Models Cubs are a great value and they hold up really well. They aren't super duper scale like some other products but you get a ton of airplane for the money and you can fly the crap out of them and they take it. Some of the hardware isn't so great like pushrod linkages but you can swap that stuff out for better hardware considering what you're paying for the airframe.

It looks like that's the way I'm going to have to go if Bills 40% SC's are no longer available. So far I have not been able to contact anyone who even knows if he is still selling kits anymore.

I was gonna purchase one of his 40% Super Cubs but I got tired of waiting for a reply so I went and purchased a Balsa USA 1/3 scale SC. I have already started construction. I seriously doubt that he has any airplanes for sale because IMO he would be answering his emails. Good luck on hearing from him but I wouldn't hold my breath.
